Retail: Bath

Painted velvet drapes, gilt molding, and a hazy jungle beyond lend opulence to this bath. A solitary monkey keeps watch over the entrance to the tent. The gold in the mirror’s frame accents the gold used throughout the painted room’s decor.

Detail is in the process and what gives Michael Lee’s work the depth and texture that looks so real. He builds upon the piece, adding detail and light until you actually think you can reach out and take hold of it.

It is truly amazing how Michael Lee “decorates” a space. A plain wall is literally transformed into a dramatic flowing curtain with texture and depth.

Michael Lee Scott transforms a simple wall into an experience. It‘s about illusion — it‘s his “magic.” What you are looking at actually does not exist. A room becomes a lush tent filled with mystery and dreams in the midst of a mirage.

The ceiling disappears in this room where Michael Lee has “built” a tent. His attention to detail is one of the many elements that literally surrounds the viewer — wrapping them in luxury that really is only an illusion.
